As a Senior Engineer at dotbase, you’ll help shape the backbone of a platform that supports clinical innovation and medical workflows. You’ll work side-by-side with our CTO, engineers, and designers to ship features that matter and scale our infrastructure. 1. Develop Scalable, Maintainable Systems
   • Lead backend and infrastructure work, helping us scale reliably across cloud and hybrid deployments.
   • Collaborate with our product and design teams to build secure, performant APIs.
   • Contribute to a TypeScript-based microservice backend and support integration with FHIR standards.
2. Champion DevOps & Best Practices
   • Improve our CI/CD pipeline (GitHub Actions) and container deployment setup (Docker, AWS).
   • Monitor and optimize performance, reliability, and security of our services.
   • Build internal tools that make our developer experience seamless.
3. Feature Ownership & Mentorship
   • Take ownership of key components in our product roadmap.
   • Mentor junior engineers and working students.
   • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end features.

Your Skills & Experience

We’re looking for a true Senior Engineer (5+ years of experience) with deep backend expertise and a clear DevOps mindset. You’ve built and scaled backend infrastructure in production environments, ideally with TypeScript/Node.js, and can lead implementation of performant APIs, scalable architecture, and hybrid cloud/on-prem deployments. You’ve worked with CI/CD and containerization (Docker, GitHub Actions, etc.) and can contribute across backend, DevOps, and internal tooling.

You should have:

• 5+ years experience in software engineering, at least 2 years in senior or lead-level roles
• Strong experience with TypeScript or Node.js in a microservice environment
• Significant DevOps experience: Docker, CI/CD, observability, deployment automation
• Experience with hybrid deployments (cloud and on-prem)
• Experience working in B2B SaaS, ideally with data-heavy or API-first products
• (Bonus) Familiarity with FHIR or other healthcare data standards
• Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor junior engineers
